 Discription Excellent listening skills; Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) and Clear speaking voice The primary focus of the person chosen for this position is to make sales calls over the phone to existing National customers to keep the existing business we have at these customers. The secondary focus is to grow the business at these existing customers. The candidate will do so by asking probing, in-depth, high-gain questions to uncover what the customers values and what is required of National and the candidate to gain additional business. This is a sales position where calls are made to existing customers over the phone. Little travel is required, although overnight trips to sales meetings or customers 5-6 times per year may be required.The successful candidate will, in addition to building relationships with customers, be accountable for building relationships with internal customers such as: outside sales professionals, district sales manager, teammates, customer relations, the credit department, distributors, etc.The successful candidate will have excellent communication, organization, listening, and questioning skills. The candidate should have a good knowledge of word, excel, lotus notes (or another emailing software), and be comfortable organizing their notes in a customer relationship management software system.
